The Altar Society
Teams of Altar Society members meet on a rotating basis to clean and prepare the sanctuary and sacristy for use throughout the week. Please contact Gerri Ortmann at 314-660-0285 to volunteer.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a weekly bible study class for children of preschool ages through second grade. At homily time during the Sunday Mass at 10:30 a.m., youngsters are invited forward to participate. Led by their volunteer “teacher,” the children gather in the Parish Hall to review the readings of the Mass tailored to the level of the little ones, who also assemble crafts or complete workbook pages. The children are returned to the congregation as the Offertory begins. A group of volunteers scheduled on a rotating basis form the teacher leadership team. Please contact Ruth Reimer at the Parish Office to volunteer.
Eucharistic Minister volunteers are vital to our parish, distributing Holy Communion at Masses and bringing the Sacred Eucharist to the homebound on Saturdays and Sundays. Please contact Ruth Reimer at the Parish Office.
Lectors are volunteers who proclaim the First and Second Readings from the pulpit during weekday and weekend Masses. Please contact Ruth Reimer at the Parish Office.
Altar Servers can be boys or girls, men or women, who assist the priest celebrant in the sanctuary during Masses on weekends and weekdays. We encourage children of school age as well as adults to volunteer as Servers. Please contact Ruth Reimer at the Parish Office.
All Souls Parish Choir
The parish Choir features talented and lovely voices under the direction of Millie Kimmick. Choir sings weekly at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass and for special feast days throughout the months of September through May. Choir rehearsals are held weekly on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. during those months. Please contact Millie Kimmick at 314-497-6628.
Ushers work in rotating teams per week to serve the needs of parishioners during Mass. Ushers are usually on hand to greet those coming to weekend Masses and to dispense bulletins as Mass concludes. Ushers are also on hand to lend a hand to parishioners in need of assistance, and are most visibly identified as the people who take up the collections at the Offertory. Please contact Ruth Reimer at the Parish Office to volunteer.
The Minute Men
The Minute Men are volunteers who meet on Thursday mornings to perform many projects and repairs throughout the parish campus. They expertly tackle painting, electrical and plumbing repairs, furniture moving, yard work, and clean-up duties, and almost anything else hat needs to be done, saving the parish quite a few dollars. The Minute Men work for nothing more than donuts…and our sincerest appreciation. Please contact Ken Crowder at 314-427-2401.
The Money Counters
Money Counters are a dedicated and selected group of individuals who process and deposit offertory collections after weekend Masses.
Volunteers work in teams that rotate throughout the month, with a different team counting each week. The accuracy in how you mark your contribution envelope is of great benefit to these conscientious and busy workers, who are organized by Charlie Wurm.
